Marriott's Playa Andaluza

Estepona, Costa del Sol, Spain

Steeped in history and abundant in natural beauty, this sunny coastal town gives you limitless leisure options. Stroll the charming cobbled streets sampling local seafood favorites and regional wines at the cafés or pick a prime spot in Puerto Banús to people watch. We've included a few more ideas on what to do and where to go while you're here.

  • Golfers should not miss a chance to visit the prestigious Los Flamingos Golf course. This pristine and technically challenging 18-hole course was sculpted around native trees, streams and lakes, and also grants golfers unobstructed views of the Mediterranean.
  • Dine in the mountain village of Benahavis, offering more than 20 stellar restaurants specializing in regional favorites such as paella and tapas. Explore the romantic winding streets and Moorish heritage, where stone ruins and white-washed buildings dot the landscape.
  • Drive up the Sierra Bermeja mountain range – an officially protected nature area in Estepona with its highest peak, Pico de los Reales, reaching approximately 4,755 feet. From this vantage point, you can see all the way to the west coast of Africa, so have a picnic and enjoy the view.
  • Visit Jerez de la Frontera, the “sherry wine” capital, where flamenco singing is to have originated and the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art school resides.
  • Explore Selwo Adventure Park, an African safari built on more than 250 acres with more than 2,000 animal species that roam free in a rugged natural environment.
  • Enjoy miles of white sand beaches just outside your door or at anyone of the many beaches between Malaga and Marbella.
